What is Try It On-Online?
For those of you who have stumbled upon us, and wonder what Try It On-Online is all about, this blog post is for you.
Try It On-Online was founded by me out of my frustration with buying clothes online. I would find a gorgeous outfit online, order my traditional size, but when I got it home and tried it on, it either didn’t fit, or the style was not a good look for my body shape.
One Sunday morning my frustration bubbled over as I was looking at a lemon colored, formal dress online. I never wore this color before, and I wondered how it would look on me. My thoughts started to vocalize as I watched the model sashay across my computer screen. “Why can’t I see myself in this dress?” I said out loud. “Why hasn’t anyone figured this out!?” From behind the Sunday newspaper my husband responded. “Why don’t you figure it out.” The seed for the Try It On-Online app had been sown!
After a long labor, the IOS version of the Try It On-Online app was birthed in November 2014. The app will recommend a size that will be a good fit for you, and it will tell you whether or not the style you have chosen will be a good look for your body shape. You can also place your face over the model’s to see how that lemon colored dress will look on you. So is that all there is? No. I am not done yet!
We have enlisted the help of a Developer who is working with us to improve the user experience and develop the Android and tablet versions. In addition, there will be a web portal on our website where you will be able to create an account and use all of the Try It On-Online features. If you already have an account, you will be able to access it from our website, as well as from your phone or tablet.
There are currently 44 stores on the app for your shopping pleasure: Department stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s Nordstrom; Specialty Stores, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Betsey Johnson; Designer Stores, Ralph Lauren, BCBG, Ella Moss, LaCoste, Henri Bendel; and Online stores, ASOS, Hautelook, BlueFly. No more closing out of one store’s app and opening another. Just select the store’s name on the Try It On-Online Your Mall screen and Go shopping…with your very own personal shopperSM.
For those of you who do not have an iPhone or iPad to download the free Try It On-Online app, you can shop from this website on the Your Mall screen. Although you will not be able to use the Try It On-Online software right now from this website, you can still enjoy the convenience of shopping from 76 stores all in one place. So come shop with us!
